Scottish Games and Festival is pleased to welcome back the Mid-Atlantic
Scots4Tots as Children’s Games Coordinator.
Mid-Atlantic Scots4Tots is proud to be associated with this year’s
Children’s Games. The Children’s Games
are loosely modeled after the adult professional and amateur athletics’ events
and are open to children up to 12 years of age.
Children compete in four or five different events (depending
on their age), and compete within their own age bracket:
5 and under, 6-8, 9-12.
The children’s version of Heavy Events Competition is free of
charge (caber, sheaf, stone throw, etc.).
Archery and face painting are also
available for a modest donation:
The Children’s Games are run as an enjoyable and friendly
“competition” and to ensure that all children feel a sense of accomplishment,
participant ribbons are awarded to each child regardless of the outcome of the

Mid-Atlantic Scots4Tots is a nonprofit organization that
focuses its time and fund raising efforts on children. In 2014, the organization through its
fundraising efforts: donated $1,500 to TC Williams High School’s Scholarship
Program Fund which was established by the school to help provide a small
measure of support to deserving low income, first generation, college-bound
students; purchased toys, clothing,
diapers, and groceries for a needy family with three children; donated $1,000
to the Children’s National Medical Center “New Horizons Arts and Crafts Program”
that provides crafts and fun activities for hospitalized children; donated a total of $2,500 to two military families in need
of financial assistance.
