Virginia Scottish Games - September 4 - 5, 2010


As we start out 2010, we are looking for more people to come and work on Games Staff for the games, year-round, to make them a better experience as we go forward.  We meet the third Wednesday of every month at the Durant Center in Alexandria, VA at 7:30 p.m.  Please join us if you would like to become part of the Games Staff.  We are looking for a few good people to help us out with:

Administrative; Advertising; Athletics; Antique and British Cars; Beverages; Children’s Games; Clans;
Corporate Sponsors; Merchandise; Scottish Dogs; Entertainment; Fiddling; Highland Dance; Hospitality; Hotels;
Information Tent; Living History; Logistics; Media Relations; Parking; Patrons; Pipes & Drums;
Program; Publicity; Treasurer; Trophies; Vendors & Crafters; Volunteers; Web Site


What does it take to run a successful event?
  Volunteers . . . we recognize that volunteers are the key to our success, and we deeply appreciate the efforts of so many who join us each year to get the job done.  We are especially grateful to our volunteers who demonstrate a great “people-friendly” demeanor, become familiar with all aspects of their assigned job(s), and who wear a smile all weekend long…

Volunteer Benefits are:
Each person who volunteers for at least one 3 hour period will receive a single day's admission to the games and a 2010 games T-shirt.
